Logistics Engineer III – Warehouse Process Optimization

About the role
The Logistics Engineer III will lead continuous improvement initiatives across Arrow’s distribution centers in Mexico, partnering with Operations, IT, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and external contractors to enhance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service levels.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer end‑to‑end warehouse workflows (inbound, storage, picking, packing, outbound) and optimize facility layouts, workstation ergonomics, slotting strategies, and material flow.
- Leverage operational data and time studies to establish labor standards, staffing models, productivity targets, and capacity plans.
- Lead capital, cost‑reduction, and technology projects, developing specifications, scopes, budgets, SOWs, and schedules while managing contractors and vendors.
- Support and optimize material‑handling automation (conveyors, AGVs, AMRs, sortation systems) and integrate WMS, WCS, and LMS platforms.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis, implement CAPA solutions, document results, author SOPs, and deliver technical training.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on logistics and distribution engineering experience in high‑volume warehouse environments.
- Proven track record leading end‑to‑end capital and technology projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with a safety‑first mindset.
Required skills
- Facility layout and slotting optimization.
- Material‑handling automation (conveyors, AGVs, AMRs).
- Warehouse Management (WMS), Execution (WES) and Labor Management (LMS) systems.
- Data analytics tools: MS Office, Power BI, SQL, VBA.
- Software: AutoCAD, Visio, Microsoft Project, warehouse slotting software.
- Statistical/analytics tools: Python, R, JMP, Minitab, Toad.
- Lean, Six Sigma or project‑management certifications (preferred).
