Logistics Scheduler

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Logistics Scheduler to coordinate national and international shipments, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries for its diverse customer base. The role involves close collaboration with carriers, plant departments, and internal planning teams to maintain smooth logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate national and international carriers for on‑time pickups and deliveries.
• Track and trace inbound (IB) and outbound (OB) shipments, assigning trips to drivers.
• Maintain daily shipment information and provide updates by 10 AM.
• Work with the Shipping Supervisor to create deliveries in SAP and report to the OTM team.
• Audit carrier invoices, manage export documents, and handle Hazmat shipments.
• Activate GPS trackers, generate BOL and packing documents, and optimize circuit trips.
• Escalate any risks or issues that could affect shipments and keep records for procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or transportation scheduling.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of international logistics processes, customs regulations, and Hazmat handling.
• Leadership, negotiation, problem‑solving and a sense of urgency.
