Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will manage end‑to‑end shipping operations for a Mexico‑based operation, ensuring timely pickups, accurate export documentation, and smooth customs clearance. The role works closely with carriers, brokers, internal sales teams and foreign forwarders to keep the supply chain moving efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Submit trucking requests, confirm pickup dates, track factory vehicle access and carrier transit information, and handle urgent system submissions on the same day.
• Prepare and review invoices, packing lists, bills of materials, Spanish CCP, bills of lading and railway documents to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
• Send required paperwork to Mexico/US customs brokers, review customs declarations, monitor DODA transit documents, prepare USMCA Certificates of Origin and support import clearance activities.
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers and internal teams to resolve issues, assist sales in monitoring logistics milestones, and maintain daily communication with foreign forwarders and clients.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in documentation, shipping or customs within Mexico.
• Fluent Spanish (mandatory) and business‑level English, both written and spoken.
• Detail‑oriented, responsible, self‑motivated with strong cross‑departmental communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
