Logistics Specialist – Mid‑Level

About the role

The Logistics Specialist is an intermediate‑level professional responsible for independently analyzing, monitoring, and supporting logistics and transportation activities. The role focuses on improving efficiency, controlling costs, and enhancing service performance across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze logistics data on shipments, freight costs, transit times, and service performance.
• Monitor KPIs such as on‑time delivery, carrier performance, and freight spend, identifying trends and root causes.
• Support inbound and outbound transportation, coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and third‑party logistics providers to resolve routine issues.
• Assist with load planning, shipment tracking, exception management, and carrier performance reviews.
• Analyze freight invoices and cost variances, contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Track inventory movement, reconcile shipping and receiving data, and resolve discrepancies.
• Apply logistics procedures, transportation policies, and internal controls; ensure compliance with documentation and audit requirements.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams, communicating analysis results and recommendations.

Required profile

• Intermediate‑level professional with working knowledge of logistics operations, data analysis, and supply chain principles.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision and make analytical judgments.
• Strong focus on service reliability, cost control, and supply chain efficiency.
