Maintenance Engineer – Proactive Equipment Reliability

About the role

As a Maintenance Engineer at Bosch's Queretaro plant, you will ensure the reliability of our Electronic Power Steering production equipment by driving a proactive maintenance strategy. You will work closely with Production, Process, and Quality teams to boost overall equipment effectiveness and prevent downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize data‑driven preventive and predictive maintenance programs (TPM) to anticipate failures.
• Partner with Production, Process, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and implement long‑term corrective actions.
• Provide high‑level technical support for complex equipment issues and manage spare‑parts strategy for critical components.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems, PLCs, industrial controls, and robotics.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Familiarity with TPM principles (corrective, preventive, predictive) and structured problem‑solving methods such as 8D and Shainin.
• Proactive, data‑driven mindset with a deep sense of ownership and structured thinking.
