Maintenance Technician III

About the role

Chromalloy is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support the reliability of production and facility equipment in a high‑mix aerospace, energy and defense environment. The role combines preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and vacuum systems while working closely with production operators.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on plant equipment according to company standards.
• Execute breakdown repairs on mechanical and electrical systems following work order procedures.
• Collaborate with operators to develop and implement operator‑maintenance checks.
• Maintain vacuum systems, HVAC units, air compressors, power generators, exhaust fans, fuel pumps, fire‑protection and water‑distribution equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic tests using voltmeters, ohmmeters and oscilloscopes to locate faults.
• Install electrical components in compliance with applicable codes.
• Use hand and machine tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) to fabricate or repair parts, including braze‑welding as needed.
• Maintain accurate PM and repair records and keep the shop clean and orderly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, confined‑space permits and proper PPE usage.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent education/training.
• Knowledge of PLC and oven controls, ability to read technical drawings, ladder logic and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
