Maintenance Technician

About the role

WireCo® is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of its plant utilities, including boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, water‑well systems, and the wastewater treatment plant. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and timely repairs to keep equipment running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and operational activities for boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, and water‑well systems.
• Execute neutralization, filtration, and sludge removal processes for acidic water and spent liquor.
• Prepare and handle operating chemicals such as flocculants and lime, and manage lubricant and oil levels.
• Conduct blowdown procedures for boilers, compressors, and air receivers, and prepare brine solutions for water softeners.
• Support utility system reliability to ensure continuous plant operation.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document all activities.
• Adhere to company quality, safety, and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electromechanical, Utilities, Maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment such as boilers, compressors, cooling towers, and water‑well systems.
• Familiarity with wastewater treatment plant operations and chemical handling.
• Ability to work safely in a plant environment and follow documented procedures.
