Maintenance Technician – Preventive & Corrective

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its global engineering team. You will be responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance of a wide range of factory equipment, ensuring high reliability and supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform simple to complex preventive maintenance on electrotechnical, automated, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment, including PLCs, robots and manipulators.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns, from basic interventions under supervision to autonomous fault analysis and modification.
• Participate in the workshop’s 5S program and Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) activities.
• Attend daily and monthly meetings, contribute to improvement workshops, and support the commissioning of new resources.
• Lead improvement projects, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure follow‑up and results.
• Draft and distribute assembly, disassembly, and adjustment procedures, and provide training to colleagues.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures for preventive maintenance.
• Capability to analyze failure causes, propose improvements and implement modifications.
• Experience working both under supervision and independently on technical tasks.
• Willingness to engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and QRQC.
• Strong communication skills for drafting procedures and delivering training.
