Manager, Accounting & Reporting – LATAM

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Manager, Accounting & Reporting for its LATAM region, based in Mexico City on a hybrid schedule. The role leads daily accounting operations within the shared services centre, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and delivering high‑quality reporting that supports the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise accounting staff in posting and verifying financial transactions.
• Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and month‑end close processes.
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and develop team capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s or CPA preferred).
• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in shared‑services or multinational environments.
• Experience in consumer‑goods, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or service industries is a plus.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Power BI (optional).
• Strong understanding of standard costing.
