Manager Sourcing Operations

About the role

The Sourcing Operations Manager will lead adidas’ sourcing and manufacturing strategy for assigned product categories, ensuring a reliable, competitive, agile and sustainable supply base that supports the company’s commercial objectives and growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing execution and manufacturing strategy, aligning with global and regional objectives.
• Act as the primary sourcing representative for cross‑functional teams including Planning, Product Development, Production Management, Engineering, Costing, Materials Management, Sustainability, Quality and Commercial.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end product commercialization from creation, sampling and material readiness through capacity planning, cost negotiations and final production.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to secure capacity, drive production efficiency, ensure quality excellence and achieve on‑time delivery.
• Monitor factory performance, identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to maintain business continuity.
• Lead cost‑optimization initiatives while balancing product value, manufacturing efficiencies and quality standards.
• Support strategic supplier development, innovation adoption, digitalisation and operational excellence.
• Partner with Sustainability teams to ensure compliance with environmental, social and ethical standards.
• Drive transparency through data analysis, KPI management and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven ability to translate business requirements into sourcing and manufacturing solutions.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience balancing speed, cost, quality, sustainability and capacity in a global supply chain.
• Analytical mindset with capability to monitor performance, assess risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence and supplier capability enhancement.
