Manager Supply Chain Operations

About the role

The Manager Supply Chain Operations will lead and optimize warehouse and logistics processes for Carter’s Inc., the leading North American apparel retailer for babies and young children. This role oversees SOP development, 3PL coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities, including receiving, replenishment, cycle counts, order fulfillment, returns, and inventory audits.
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with operational processes by both Carter’s and third‑party logistics (3PL) personnel.
• Lead continuous‑improvement and efficiency projects for warehouse operations, outbound shipments, and related supply‑chain areas.
• Reengineer operational processes such as logical warehouse design, inventory handling, and invoicing.
• Control and manage P&L for Pro Fees (3PL expenses), freight, and warehouse supplies.
• Conduct costing analysis of 3PL processes and lead annual transportation tenders and carrier negotiations.
• Manage the 3PL Request for Proposal (RFP) process from design through implementation and launch.
• Lead interface implementation between 3PL Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Carter’s ERP (Proscai).
• Drive information automation using Tableau dashboards, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with Supply Chain, Finance, Audit, IT, Planning, corporate teams, suppliers, 3PLs, and transportation partners.
