Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineer at KEMET de México, you will improve operational performance by eliminating waste, optimizing processes, and driving continuous‑improvement initiatives. The position is full‑time, on‑site at the Guadalupe plant, and focuses on process analysis, technical issue resolution, and supporting productivity, quality, and cost goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to boost process utilization and reduce labor variance.
• Generate systems that maintain high manufacturing and product quality.
• Ensure processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards.
• Coordinate and improve plant manufacturing systems (5S, Visual Factory, Gemba Walks).
• Maintain research documentation and prepare reports.
• Communicate project results across all organizational levels.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, evaluating and troubleshooting processes and machinery.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and results‑oriented mindset.
