Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Problem Solver)

About the role

Join Harman Automotive as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer and work directly with customers and internal teams to resolve quality issues arising from design or manufacturing discrepancies. You will ensure flawless product launches and maintain high quality performance for the vehicles we deliver.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field containment and rework activities at customer sites, including diagnostic tests and assembly line investigations.
• Support policies for 0 km issues at customer assembly plants and manage quality situations in vehicle applications.
• Analyze, compile, and report customer quality metrics such as PPM for 0 km performance.
• Prepare and present quality data to Harman and customer management groups.
• Obtain customer approvals for manufacturing process changes with supporting data.
• Lead problem analysis using FMEA, 8D, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six‑Sigma tools.
• Facilitate information flow for customer returns and deploy countermeasures as lessons learned (Yokoten).
• Coordinate internal and external resources, acting as liaison between customer and Harman.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, PCAs, and support launch issues through SOP+90.
• Execute Ppk/Cpk studies and manage PPAP or other customer approval documentation.

Required profile

• Experience handling field containment, rework, and 0 km quality issues.
• Proven ability to analyze and report quality metrics (e.g., PPM).
• Strong background in problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and customers.
