Manufacturing Robotics Engineer – Remote (Monterrey)

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Robotics Engineer to design, program, and deploy industrial robot cells for production lines. The role is fully remote, supporting on‑site teams in Monterrey and collaborating with vendors to deliver safe, high‑throughput automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and integrate robot cells, including layout, tooling, sensors and safety interlocks, to meet manufacturing workflow requirements.
• Develop, program and debug robot applications, PLC sequences, I/O maps and alarm handling.
• Integrate machine‑vision systems, safety devices and conveyor/servo motion for reliable handling and inspection.
• Create and maintain documentation such as I/O lists, SOPs, FAT/SAT checklists and risk assessments.
• Support commissioning, ramp‑up and continuous improvement using OEE metrics, downtime analysis and structured root‑cause methods.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, maintenance and vendor teams to achieve throughput, yield and compliance targets.

Required profile

• Mid‑senior experience in manufacturing automation or robotics integration.
• Strong fundamentals in controls, PLCs, sensors, actuators and industrial networks.
• Knowledge of machine safety principles, risk assessment, guarding, interlocks and change control.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and controls issues using logs, traces and root‑cause analysis.
