Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its automotive engineering team. The role focuses on delivering technical solutions for new vehicle projects, supporting operations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate budget awareness and optimize resource utilization within assigned projects.
• Execute technical solutions for engineering tasks, especially for Newness levels 1‑2, based on existing design rules.
• Participate in problem‑solving activities under senior engineer guidance, applying QRQC methodology.
• Prepare clear technical documentation, including reports, specifications and presentations.
• Apply existing design standards and ensure alignment with Valeo guidelines.
• Adopt digital tools outlined in the discipline’s Digitalization Roadmap to improve efficiency.
• Identify and suggest process improvements and innovative ideas.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in automotive or related mechanical engineering activities.
• Ability to work under guidance of senior engineers and follow established methodologies.
• Strong understanding of design standards and technical documentation practices.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and innovation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
