Mechatronics Design and Release Engineer Jr

About the role

ALTEN Mexico, an engineering company working with industries such as automotive, energy, aeronautics, banking, telecom and rail, is looking for a Mechatronics Design and Release Engineer in Querétaro. The engineer owns each component end to end, from design and development through to production release, covering cockpit control and sensors. The position is full-time, open to candidates with 1+ years of experience and B2-C1 English; a valid visa is optional.

Key responsibilities

• Component design, development, packaging and production release
• Work with PDO and Sciences on the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) testing
• Maintain bills of materials and manage CAD models in Teamcenter
• Support prototype and production builds, and handle issues and change management
• Promote weight, cost and efficiency improvements
• Report technical product status to management
• Support vehicle assembly plants on product technical issues and support-service teams on field warranty issues and root cause analysis
• Work with suppliers to meet program and electrical development timing and deliverables

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or MBA
• 1 to 3 years reviewing, validating and releasing designs for automotive cockpit components
• Mechatronics experience on manual park release, active damping air suspension, switches, sensors, lighting, seats, mirrors, power hatch, liftgate, sunroof and power top
• Knowledge of electronic diagrams, software and mechatronics testing (durability, thermal); infotainment, connectivity and embedded knowledge is valuable
• Intermediate-advanced English
