Mexico Operations Excellence Senior Specialist

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior professional to lead Operations Excellence for its switch services in Mexico. The role focuses on ensuring operational stability, mitigating financial and operational risks, and delivering data‑driven insights to banks, processors and fintech partners.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks affecting customers and network performance.
• Lead root‑cause analyses and develop corrective action plans for incidents and service disruptions.
• Establish preventive controls and monitoring mechanisms to reduce failures and financial exposure.
• Monitor service performance against KPIs, SLAs and operational metrics, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with customers to review performance, recommend enhancements and implement best practices.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues and manage escalations.
• Maintain formal communication channels with customers, account analysts and internal stakeholders, conducting regular governance meetings and service reviews.

Required profile

• Significant experience in operations excellence, risk mitigation or network performance within the payments or financial services sector.
• Proven ability to lead root‑cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, acting as a trusted operational advisor.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
