Mexico Tax Advisor

About the role

Charger Logistics is seeking a Mexico Tax Advisor to join its Finance Team. The role focuses on corporate tax compliance, HST/GST/QST filings, and tax planning for the company’s operations in Mexico and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with Mexican tax regulations.
• Manage SAT portals and interact with Mexican tax authorities.
• Research Mexican tax issues at basic to intermediate levels.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on inter‑company tax matters.
• Assist the Tax Manager with elections, consulting projects, and tax audits.
• Prepare monthly PST, QST and HST returns for review.
• Draft correspondence and memos for tax managers and authorities.
• Provide tax inputs for forecasts, budgets and financial statement analysis.
• Support due‑diligence projects and identify potential tax liabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Master’s degree or specialization in taxes.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with specific experience in Mexican taxes and tax audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (intermediate‑advanced).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and work independently.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with SAT portal management.
