Mexico Tax Advisor

About the role

Charger Logistics is seeking a Mexico Tax Advisor to join its Finance Team. The role focuses on Mexican tax compliance, corporate tax filings, and coordination with government tax authorities. This position offers the chance to deepen tax expertise while supporting a fast‑growing logistics company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with Mexican SAT regulations.
• Manage SAT portals and interact with government entities.
• Conduct basic to intermediate tax research for Mexico.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on inter‑company tax matters.
• Assist the Tax Manager with tax elections, consulting projects, and audit support.
• Prepare monthly PST, QST, and HST returns and handle correspondence with CRA and Mexican tax authorities.
• Provide tax inputs for forecasts, budgets, and financial statement analysis.
• Support tax audits for foreign subsidiaries and implement internal tax controls.
• Lead due‑diligence projects to identify potential tax liabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Master’s degree or specialization in taxes (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting, specifically Mexican taxes and tax audits.
• Experience with equipment financing in the transportation sector is a plus.
• Strong time‑management, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
