MFE Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented MFE Planning Engineer to join our operations team in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. You will optimize manufacturing execution and production planning processes, ensuring efficient operations and on‑time delivery while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise new product programs, line releases or relocations using QG’s and APQP processes.
• Design and implement new processes for increased capacity, incorporating FMEA, control plans and PPAP requirements.
• Lead internal trial runs to release processes, machinery and equipment.
• Develop cost‑effective quality and productivity improvements.
• Plan VSL production area distribution to meet product quality and customer demand.
• Manage CapEx investments and implementation for new and existing projects.
• Plan technical capacity and flexibility based on official volume forecasts.
• Promote safety, health, environmental protection and energy performance in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling or operations management.
• Proficiency with MFE (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or similar ERP planning modules.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with complex data interpretation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting methodologies and inventory management principles.
• Experience with production planning software and scheduling tools.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
• Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools.
