Mid-level Data Engineer – Cloud & ETL

About the role

We are looking for a talented Mid-level Data Engineer to join our growing team of data architects and engineers. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud‑based infrastructure, turning business requirements into reliable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust code‑based ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimise dimensional data models for analytics and reporting.
• Integrate new data sources and improve data accessibility across business domains.
• Implement access controls, data quality checks, and monitoring to ensure security and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices.
• Lead small to medium projects from requirements gathering to delivery.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of data engineering experience with a focus on pipeline development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of version control (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Exposure to data orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory) and visualization tools (Power BI).
• Understanding of AWS cloud services is a plus.
