Occupational Health Doctor

About the role

This specialist position ensures employee health, safety and well‑being within a corporate environment, focusing on clinical care, health surveillance and preventive programs while complying with Mexican regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat work‑related illnesses and injuries, provide emergency medical response, and conduct pre‑employment, periodic and fitness‑for‑duty examinations.
• Manage complex workers’ compensation and disability cases, acting as the medical liaison between employees, the company and insurers.
• Design and implement medical surveillance programs based on workplace risk assessments and lead health‑education, wellness and preventive‑care initiatives.
• Analyze occupational health data, report key metrics and recommend control measures to management.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican occupational health regulations (STPS, IMSS) and maintain accurate, confidential employee medical records.

Required profile

• Valid medical license to practice in Mexico.
• Board certification in Occupational Medicine (or national equivalent).
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree; specialization or postgraduate degree in Occupational Health or Public Health preferred.
• 8+ years of experience as an Occupational Health Physician in industrial or corporate settings.
• Proven ability to manage complex medical cases and health programs with high autonomy.
