Operations Manager

About the role

PosiTrace, a leader in fleet telematics and GPS tracking across Canada and Mexico, is looking for a senior Operations Manager to own the end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise fleet installations in Mexico. You will be the central point ensuring customers go live on schedule and that all field, warehouse and monitoring activities run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly enterprise implementation plan, set and protect go‑live dates, and manage the implementation SLA.
• Lead internal installer crews and coordination desks across Guadalajara, Mexico City and out‑of‑state projects, ensuring first‑visit success and cost‑per‑installation control.
• Build and manage an external partner network, run quality and compliance scorecards, and decide internal vs. external execution.
• Run the Guadalajara warehouse – receiving, FIFO, cycle counts, dispatch controls and variance root‑cause analysis.
• Oversee hardware demand planning, procurement, three‑way goods receipt checks and shortage escalation.
• Direct the 24/7 ANERPV‑certified Tier 0 monitoring desk, handling panic alerts, engine stops and vehicle recovery.
• Develop, retain and coach a mixed team of technicians, coordinators and monitoring operators while defining processes and KPIs.
• Act as senior escalation point for customers, including director‑level contacts in large accounts.

Required profile

• 5+ years in operations with at least 3 years leading field service, technical installation or logistics teams.
• Experience managing internal crews and third‑party contractors in Mexico, ensuring compliance with labour and liability laws.
• Proven track record of warehouse and inventory control (cycle counting, FIFO, variance investigation).
• Hands‑on demand planning and supplier management for imported hardware and customs lead times.
• Demonstrated ability to own an operational cost line and reduce cost‑per‑job.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, with a degree in engineering, operations, logistics or business (or equivalent experience).
