Paramedic for International School of Querétaro

About the role

The Paramedic will provide first‑response medical care, first aid and preventive health support to students, teaching staff and administrative employees at the International School of Querétaro. The role ensures a safe and healthy school environment by responding to medical incidents, maintaining health records and coordinating with families, emergency services and insurance providers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate first aid for accidents, injuries or sudden illness on school premises and stabilize patients before transfer to external facilities.
• Coordinate emergency transfers with ambulance services, notify parents/guardians and school leadership, and maintain accurate daily logs of all medical interventions.
• Manage inventory of medications, first‑aid supplies and equipment, supervise emergency kits across the campus and ensure proper storage and expiration monitoring.
• Administer prescribed medication with parental authorization, maintain up‑to‑date medical records for all students, and support health‑safety risk assessments.
• Design and deliver first‑aid and emergency protocol training for staff and participate in school civil protection drills.

Required profile

• Qualification as an Emergency Medical Technician (TUM), or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Pre‑Hospital Medical Care with a valid license/certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a school, pediatric, hospital emergency or pre‑hospital setting.
• Patience, empathy and the ability to reassure children and adolescents during stressful situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, families and staff.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
