Payments Ecosystem Operations Senior Specialist

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Payments Ecosystem Operations Senior Specialist to support its Network and Clearinghouse team in Mexico. The role will generate and interpret data to empower banks, processors and fintechs using Mastercard’s switch, while providing meaningful insights to internal teams and external ecosystem entities.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Mastercard Clearing House interests in ABM Operational and Technology forums.
• Lead strategic relationships with key third‑party partners such as Prosa, Eglobal, Merlos, Praxis, Visa and future ecosystem participants.
• Oversee operational performance, service quality, risk management and contractual obligations of third‑party providers.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on operational, technical and governance topics affecting the payments ecosystem.
• Participate in industry working groups, committees and strategic discussions related to payments infrastructure.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives with ecosystem partners to support new business, regulatory and operational requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and collaboration across the payments ecosystem.
• Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders to influence strategic initiatives.
• Manage engagement with regulatory authorities including Banco de México (BANXICO) and Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV).
• Coordinate regulatory audits, assessments and information requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in payments ecosystem operations.
• Deep knowledge of the Mexican regulatory environment for payments.
• Proven ability to manage third‑party relationships and cross‑functional projects.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
