Physician-Scientist Faculty Positions at Shanghai Clinical Research Center

About the role

We are seeking visionary physician‑scientists and clinicians to join the newly established Shanghai Clinical Research and Trial Center, a 500‑bed public research hospital affiliated with Shanghai Tech University. The positions span early‑career to distinguished faculty levels and offer tenure‑track or tenured appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead independent translational research programs in areas such as oncology, neurology, vascular, respiratory, rheumatology, and sensory disorders.
• Provide high‑quality clinical care within multidisciplinary units and integrate research findings into patient treatment.
• Mentor junior researchers, trainees, and clinical staff, fostering a collaborative research environment.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the Center, including the design of new diagnostic and treatment services.

Required profile

• MD/PhD or MD with extensive research training; candidates at all career stages are welcome.
• Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and publish in peer‑reviewed journals (for mid‑career and senior levels).
• Commitment to a balanced clinical and research agenda with protected research time.
• International reputation and leadership experience for senior and distinguished positions.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in one or more of the Center’s focus areas.
• Strong research methodology and translational science experience.
