Plant Controller

About the role

The Plant Controller is the senior finance partner for Gates' San José manufacturing facility. You will lead financial reporting, support operational decisions, and drive profitability, productivity, and cost performance across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, operating results, and performance metrics.
• Monitor inventory, fixed assets, capital expenditures, and manufacturing variances.
• Partner with plant leadership to analyze labor, material, overhead, and scrap variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support productivity initiatives, cost‑reduction programs, and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and evaluate new capital investments.
• Lead the annual operating plan, monthly forecasting, and budget monitoring.
• Maintain standard cost systems, review inventory valuation, and ensure accurate product costing.
