Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate cost management and providing performance insights that support strategic business decisions. This role plays a key part in driving profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage plant budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to senior management.
• Partner with operations teams to identify and implement cost‑efficiency and productivity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Support month‑end closing activities and prepare timely financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CA/CMA preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and plant operations.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
