Plant Procurement Specialist

About the role

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a strategic Plant Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing initiatives, optimise inventory, and drive cost‑saving projects for its manufacturing plant in San Jose Iturbide, Guanajuato.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for local and imported materials, securing favourable price, quality and delivery terms while developing long‑term segment strategies.
• Build and monitor supplier performance using corporate programs and scorecards, collaborating with Quality to resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Identify and execute high‑impact savings initiatives through digital procurement tools such as e‑auctions and e‑savings platforms.
• Coordinate with Planning and Manufacturing to optimise raw material and packaging inventories and ensure on‑time product launches.
• Manage bidding and quotation processes via SAP E‑Sourcing, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
• Maintain the material standard cost book, update SAP, and report monthly performance metrics including PPV, standard costs, KPIs and cost projections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply‑chain roles.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP and digital procurement tools.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, advanced Excel and familiarity with AI productivity tools.
