Primary Teacher – Grade 1 (Development Class)

About the role

Inspired Education is seeking a Grade 1 Development Class Teacher to join its award‑winning team. The teacher will create safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments that align with SEP requirements, the AIM curriculum, and Inspired’s educational philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet curriculum standards and school expectations.
• Differentiate instruction to support SEN, ELL and gifted learners.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and integrate technology to maximise student engagement.
• Design and implement formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
• Accurately record, analyse and report student progress and participate in moderation processes.
• Use assessment data to inform planning and targeted interventions.
• Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment.
• Support students’ social, emotional and personal development.
• Engage in professional development, peer observations and coaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, school events and curriculum development.
• Maintain open communication with parents and participate in meetings and community events.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Qualified primary teacher with experience teaching Grade 1.
• Familiarity with SEP requirements and ability to implement Inspired’s curriculum.
• Commitment to inclusive education and ability to differentiate for SEN, ELL and gifted students.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Dedication to continuous improvement and professional growth.
