Process Technician

About the role

The Process Technician performs a range of technical duties in a manufacturing environment, including experimental procedures, data collection, and analysis to support process improvement and customer issue resolution. The role may also involve leading trades personnel during equipment installation, repairs, or upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Train and coach new engineering personnel on equipment and processes.
• Understand equipment used in key processes and interpret data to solve problems.
• Work with teams focused on product innovation and cost‑reduction projects.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement testing and integration of equipment.
• Participate in equipment projects aimed at reducing costs, downtime, defects and increasing yields.
• Guide front‑line production workforce and technical teams to comply with safety, health, SOPs and environmental regulations.
• Provide inputs to project plans, identifying resources and realistic timelines.
• Assist in developing new processes or machines to improve existing operations.
• Write process, product or equipment documentation as required.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field or strong math/science background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Previous technician or operator experience that provides a solid understanding of equipment and processes.
