Process Technician

About the role

The Process Technician performs a range of technical duties supporting manufacturing operations. This includes conducting experimental procedures, collecting and analysing process data, and assisting engineers in resolving customer complaints and improving yields.

Key responsibilities

• Train and coach new engineering personnel on equipment and processes.
• Interpret equipment data to diagnose and solve process issues.
• Collaborate with product innovation and cost‑reduction teams.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process problems and implement corrective actions.
• Support engineers in testing, integration, and equipment upgrades.
• Lead projects aimed at reducing costs, downtime, defects and increasing yields.
• Guide frontline production staff to follow safety, health, SOPs and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to project planning with resource estimates and timelines.
• Participate in developing new processes or machinery and author documentation.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field or strong math/science background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Prior experience in technician or operator roles that provide equipment and process familiarity.
