Process Technician

About the role

The Process Technician performs a range of technical duties that support manufacturing operations, from experimental procedures and data collection to analysis and troubleshooting. The role works closely with engineers and production teams to improve yields, resolve customer complaints, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Train and coach new engineering personnel on equipment and processes.
• Interpret process data, troubleshoot equipment issues, and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with product‑innovation and cost‑reduction teams.
• Assist engineers in testing, integrating, and upgrading equipment.
• Lead equipment projects aimed at reducing downtime, defects, and costs while increasing yields.
• Guide front‑line production staff to follow safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to project planning by identifying resources and realistic timelines.
• Participate in the development of new processes or machines and document procedures.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or strong math/science background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Previous experience in technician or operator roles that provide equipment and process knowledge.
• Desired: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, project‑management experience, Lean fundamentals, Yellow or Green Belt certification, and familiarity with PEx tools.
