Procurement Operations Buyer

About the role

The Procurement Operations Buyer supports the efficient acquisition of goods and services needed for daily operations. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure compliance, cost‑effectiveness, and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide procurement support for a range of commodities and technologies, developing subject‑matter expertise.
• Partner with business owners to identify, onboard, and manage vendors, handling requisitions and purchase orders.
• Communicate policies, design standards, budgets, and quality expectations to suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts with low‑risk suppliers and oversee day‑to‑day supplier interactions.
• Execute risk mitigation, business continuity, and cost‑management strategies.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to procurement initiatives to meet performance metrics.
• Deliver training and support on procurement processes to internal teams.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2‑4 years of experience in procurement, category management, or operations.
• Preferred certifications: CPIM, PMP, CPSM.
• Strong analytical, communication, and results‑orientation skills.
