Procurement Specialist – Direct Material Purchasing

About the role

QST Solutions is seeking a Direct Material Purchasing Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies, drive cost‑saving initiatives, and ensure optimal performance of the supply chain for automotive sensor components.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain purchase orders.
• Resolve invoice price discrepancies.
• Create and execute sourcing strategies.
• Analyze and identify financial risks within the supply chain.
• Identify cost‑saving projects such as negotiations, value engineering and value analysis.
• Support Materials Planning during critical supply situations.
• Measure and improve supplier performance using scorecards.
• Develop suppliers and implement VMI programs.
• Update vendor information in the ERP system.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience as Buyer, Commodity Specialist or Sourcing Specialist.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar purchasing role.
• Strong negotiation skills and a client‑care orientation.
• Team‑player, self‑driven and responsible.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Fluent spoken English.
