Product Designer

About the role

Phase One Ventures is an AI‑native venture studio that builds new companies from scratch. As a Product Designer you will own the end‑to‑end design of brand‑new products, turning vague problems into concrete, ship‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define product information architecture, user flows, state coverage and edge cases.
• Run discovery by conducting user interviews, joining customer calls and synthesising insights into actionable problem statements.
• Prototype rapidly using Figma and Claude Design to create clickable experiences within days.
• Validate concepts with real users, run structured feedback loops and discard ideas that don’t hold up.
• Partner with engineering by writing clear specs, covering loading and error states, and staying involved through implementation.
• Maintain an ongoing research pipeline rather than one‑off studies.
• Collaborate with visual designers to keep the visual language consistent while focusing on product logic.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience designing digital products, including at least one product taken from concept to launch.
• Strong Figma fundamentals: components, auto‑layout, variables and interactive prototyping.
• Hands‑on experience with Claude Design or comparable AI‑driven design tools.
• Direct user‑research experience, having conducted interviews yourself.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, undefined problem spaces.
• A portfolio that showcases a full product arc – research, decisions, shipped outcome and post‑launch impact.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
