Product Development Engineer – Agriculture Solutions

About the role

SKF is looking for a Product Development Engineer to drive innovation within its Agriculture product line. You will work across the Americas, turning market trends and customer needs into sustainable, high‑performance solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development activities following the Product Development Process (PDP).
• Conduct feasibility studies, design, validation, and hand over products to manufacturing.
• Provide technical training and support to PD&E teams across the region.
• Support regionalization of agricultural bearing components and processes.
• Accelerate digitalization and automation using SKF tools.
• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Contribute to design optimisation, cost reduction (ICR), and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with sales and stakeholders to resolve customer issues and deviations.
• Drive benchmarking, performance improvement, and ensure manufacturability and robustness.
• Participate in global projects (NIC, ASO) and cross‑regional initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 + years of experience in product development, R&D, or project engineering.
• Strong technical background in manufacturing and testing.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to build relationships across regions.
