Product Engineer

About the role

As a Product Engineer at Lear Corporation’s NOVA Plant in Chihuahua, you will work in an international, fast‑growing environment, reporting directly to the Engineering Product Manager. You will be responsible for the design, validation, and documentation of wire‑harness products for automotive customers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and design harness plans, ensuring compliance with drawings and customer specifications.
• Validate products for engineering changes, new starts, and transfers.
• Upload and compare bills of materials (BOM) in the REN2/QAD database.
• Prepare, review, and load cutting sheets in the UCS system and generate visual aids for special processes.
• Load standard times for harness manufacturing and create cost studies in SEM.
• Generate Design Change Notices (DCN) and BOM Change Notices (BCN) to communicate engineering changes.
• Maintain 100% compliance with product‑engineering procedures and documentation.
• Identify and analyze cost‑reduction ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in the wire‑harness automotive industry.
• Proficient English language skills.
