Product Engineer

About the role

As a Product Engineer at Lear Corporation you will join a growing international team at the NOVA Plant in Chihuahua. Reporting to the Engineering Product Manager, you will be responsible for the design, validation and documentation of wire‑harness products for automotive customers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and design harness plans and validate products against drawings and customer specifications.
• Upload and compare bills of materials (BOM) in the REN2/QAD database.
• Prepare, review and load cutting sheets in the UCS system and generate visual aids for special processes.
• Load standard times for harness manufacture and create cost studies in SEM.
• Generate Design Change Notices (DCN) and BOM Change Notices (BCN) to communicate engineering changes.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Product Engineering procedures and maintain related documentation.
• Identify and analyze cost‑reduction ideas for the plant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in the wire‑harness automotive industry.
• Proficient English language skills.
