Product Engineer

About the role

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Product Engineer to lead new product introductions, manage engineering changes and coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product launches. The role focuses on problem‑solving, continuous improvement and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from development through production launch, coordinating cross‑functional activities and driving launch readiness reviews, pilot builds, production qualification and ramp‑up support.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate risks associated with product and process launches.
• Implement and track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), evaluating impacts on design, BOMs, manufacturing processes, tooling, inventory, validation and qualification.
• Coordinate change implementation across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations, ensuring proper documentation, traceability and closure.
• Lead root‑cause investigations for product, manufacturing, quality or customer issues and support cost‑reduction and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Assist in execution of engineering validation plans and ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, customer and company requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–4 years of experience in product engineering, NPI, sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering or technical operations support.
• Demonstrated knowledge of product development lifecycle, engineering change management processes and BOM structures.
• Experience with product validation, qualification and compliance methodologies.
