Product Engineer (Mechanical Design)

About the role

Siemens Global Business Services is seeking a Mechanical Product Engineer to join its Engineering Services team supporting a major U.S. manufacturing facility. In this position you will work with global engineering teams to design, develop, and improve mechanical components that are critical to electrical infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support new product development initiatives and product enhancement projects.
• Evaluate design feasibility and provide technical recommendations to cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to solve product‑related challenges and improve performance.
• Participate in design reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to standardization efforts to enhance manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.
• Support engineering documentation and product lifecycle activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering projects.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo / ProE.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
• Advanced English communication skills and strong problem‑solving abilities.

• Creo / ProE (CAD) for mechanical design.
• Mechanical component and assembly design.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Sheet metal component design (nice to have).
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) knowledge.
• Experience with industrial, electrical, or electromechanical products.
• Understanding of electrical drawings or schematics.
