Production Technician

About the role

As a Production Technician you will provide technical support on manufacturing lines, handling equipment calibration, board repair and troubleshooting. You will train operators, maintain process documentation and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards while collaborating with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update process documentation for accuracy.
• Verify calibration status of production equipment to meet performance standards.
• Coordinate usage, maintenance and repair of production boards.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and recommend process improvements.
• Use testing equipment to validate product specifications.
• Deliver on‑the‑job technical training to operators.
• Adhere to safety, hygiene and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and submit required reports promptly.
• Support layout changes and participate in maintenance and improvement activities.
• Ensure full compliance with the Quality System.

Required profile

• 1–2 years experience in the maquiladora industry.
• High school diploma or technical career preferred.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs, instructions and routers.
• Availability to work flexible hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Required skills

• TIG welding.
• IPC 610 welding certification (preferred).
• J‑STD welding certification (preferred).
• Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls.
• Ability to operate production equipment and tools.
