Project Implementation Intern

About the role
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a motivated intern to support its Project Implementation Coordination area in the Sub‑regional Office for Mexico, Cuba and Central America. The role is hybrid, based in Mexico City, and lasts for six months.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development, updating and maintenance of the portfolio management platform (Plataforma de Implementación Conjunta).
- Assist in monitoring project implementation milestones, outputs and timelines across the office’s active portfolio.
- Prepare project synthesis documents and support the coordination of joint missions, including mission scopes and work agendas.
- Help organize and follow‑up coordination meetings, capturing agreements and next steps.
- Provide substantive input to the Project Implementation Coordinator for optimizing processes.
Required profile
- Available for a six‑month internship.
- Able to work in a hybrid setting in Mexico City.
- Willing to work under the supervision of the Head of the Sub‑regional Office and the Project Implementation Coordinator.
