Project Manager – Automotive ECU Projects

About the role

As a Project Manager at Aptiv you will lead global, cross‑functional teams to deliver advanced ECU systems from award through product launch and end‑of‑life. You will ensure projects meet timeline, budget and quality expectations while fostering strong customer relationships and driving execution excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end project execution from award to product launch and lifecycle completion.
• Own the overall project plan, milestones, reviews and deliverables.
• Lead collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other stakeholders.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate project risks and issues.
• Manage change, critical‑path activities and resource planning.
• Maintain regular status reporting (KPIs, financials, executive updates).
• Oversee project financials, CAPEX planning, tracking and budget compliance.
• Ensure adherence to PMO governance and gate‑review processes.
• Support sales with feasibility, cost and roadmap input.
• Coordinate global workforce planning and project tool setup with IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in automotive or related industries.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional, global teams.
• Strong analytical, risk‑identification and mitigation skills.
• Fluent English with excellent communication abilities.
• Experience managing project financials, budgets and KPIs.
• Ability to work independently under remote supervision with high accountability.
