Purchaser – Inventory Management & Procurement

About the role

The Purchaser will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring seamless procurement processes for Vestas' production lines in Matamoros. This role requires close collaboration with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to support the company's wind energy manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels in line with TPI Composites targets.
• Manage the Oracle system for open, delayed, and closed orders.
• Generate reports such as MRP, shortages, Days of Supply (DOS), and Min‑Max analyses.
• Handle returns of non‑conforming materials and control obsolete stock.
• Support production lines by developing new materials and ensuring just‑in‑time deliveries.
• Provide suppliers with purchase forecasts achieving at least 90% accuracy.
• Follow up on engineering changes, job changes, and customer approvals/validations within Oracle.
• Monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) releases and track material shortages.
• Ensure compliance with internal work regulations, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Promote TPI’s mission, vision, values, and continuous improvement of management system processes.

Required profile

• Experience processing and planning various purchases.
• Proven background in inventory management and control.
• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Familiarity with Kanban and inventory systems.
