About the role
The Purchasing Specialist (Excellence) will implement the material group strategy on a global level, aligning with market conditions and the needs of Product Centers and Hella companies. The role involves negotiating supplier frame contracts, coordinating sourcing activities, and supporting cost planning for complex, high‑volume materials.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the material group strategy worldwide.
- Negotiate and conclude supplier frame contracts within the assigned material group.
- Prepare, coordinate, and execute sourcing activities, including RfQ issuance and supplier nomination.
- Participate in the annual material cost planning process.
- Define and apply technical and commercial saving measures to meet cost, time, and quality targets.
- Manage project‑specific purchasing activities across multiple development and production sites.
- Act as the first point of contact and escalation for supplier and material issues during series production.
