Purchasing Supervisor

About the role

The Purchasing Supervisor (Buyer) is responsible for daily operational and project‑based purchasing activities for the Mexico Service & Management Platform. This role ensures that all acquisitions of products, services, materials, equipment and project‑related items meet quality, cost, delivery, compliance and internal approval requirements while supporting supplier management and cross‑department coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full purchasing cycle from quotation requests to purchase order issuance.
• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensure timely delivery and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Analyze purchasing costs, identify savings opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Support procurement for construction, facilities, IT, security, administrative services and special projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments to capture requirements and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing, procurement or supplier management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, market analysis and purchase order management.
• Knowledge of legal and tax regulations related to purchasing processes.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work with international teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP.
