QA/QC Engineer I

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer I will support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and Product Quality Architecture. This role ensures that both internal and external specifications and standards are consistently met across material processing and finished‑product stages.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to embed quality standards throughout product development.
• Design and implement inspection, testing, and measurement methods; conduct statistical analyses to assess cost and responsibility for non‑conforming products.
• Audit quality systems, identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions that meet reliability and documentation requirements.
• Support specialized areas such as design review, incoming material inspection, production control, product evaluation, reliability, and inventory control.
• Lead or contribute to Six‑Sigma and Lean improvement projects, applying DMAIC, Lean, and Design methodologies.
• Coach supervisors and managers on project selection, implementation, and the effective use of quality tools.

Required profile

• B.S. or equivalent technical degree.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a technical environment.
• Experience working on project teams; internship or progressive experience in quality is a plus.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma methodology knowledge.
• Statistical analysis for quality assessment.
• Familiarity with quality evaluation and control systems.
