Quality Engineer – Manufacturing and Customer Support

About the role

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is looking for a Quality Engineer to support the Reynosa plant. You will address in‑process and customer‑related quality issues, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for in‑process and customer quality concerns at the Reynosa plant.
• Conduct regular customer visits, maintain communication, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and lead PPAP packages, create control plans, and support PFMEAs and SCP charts.
• Perform MSA studies, layered process audits, and quality Gemba walks.
• Participate in internal audits (IATF 16949, EQMS) and continuous‑improvement projects (Green Belt).
• Review warranty claims and manage material disposition in MRB meetings.
• Authority to stop shipments or production when quality problems arise.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (conversational and written).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Proficiency with AIAG Core Tools: FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, APQP.
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, SCP charts, and measurement‑tool management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Competence in conducting 8D problem‑solving and A3 reports.
