Quality Manager – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

COFICAB is seeking a strategic, customer‑oriented Quality Manager to lead the plant’s quality function in a fast‑paced automotive manufacturing environment. The role is pivotal for ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and compliance with international automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Plant Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949, ISO, VDA and customer‑specific requirements.
• Ensure product conformity from incoming materials to finished goods.
• Oversee supplier quality performance, incoming inspection and corrective actions.
• Drive customer satisfaction through complaint resolution, 8D reports, root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Act as primary customer quality representative for audits, visits and reviews.
• Coordinate internal, external, certification and customer audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Implement Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans).
• Develop, monitor and communicate Quality KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and manage the annual Quality budget and departmental objectives.
• Build, coach and develop a high‑performing Quality team.
• Ensure compliance with Product Safety, EHS and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related field (Master’s considered an asset).
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Quality Manager in automotive manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary Quality teams.
• Strong customer‑facing experience with automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers.
• Experience managing quality systems in high‑volume production.
